Kenneth Kam was on his way to lunch along North Bridge Road on Tuesday, 13th of March, when he and his fellow passerby were treated to the rare sight of a man parading around in his red underwear.
“I was wondering why the people in front of me were walking so slowly, and as the crowd cleared I saw this man walking in nothing but red underwear. Everyone was staring,” he said.
The man was a Chinese in his 40s.
The 29-year-old business consultant immediately took out his handphone and captured a short video of the man with the inbuilt camera. He sent the video in on the 10th of June to share his experience.
While Kam said the initial incident had caught him by surprise, it was what happened after his lunch that left him completely stunned.
“A crowd had gathered around the same area and in the thick of it, police officers were wrapping a blanket around the man,” he said.
However, it was only while walking back to his office that the full situation dawned on Kam. He spotted the red underwear the man had been wearing lying on the floor near the staircase leading to the nearby McDonalds.
“It was then that I realized the man must have stripped completely and exposed himself,” he said.
